yellowpages.com enables dishonest businesses to keep trapping victims.

I have noticed that yp.com allows the comany to flag a negative review as abuse and the review gets hidden and the reviewer is no longer able to post reviews on this business or edit  or add any new reviews basically banning the user id. You would have to keep creating new yahoo id's or other id's to be able to get around this. Imagine you are an honest customer like myself that got swindled out of thousands or just was given horrible service by a company and you post your honest review. He just flags it and it goes away. What a dis-service to the public and I and other people should no longer trust anything from yp.com because it is completely biased.

Thank you for getting back to us. We apologize that your review was removed.
Please note, an advertiser on our site does not have the ability to pick out
specific reviews that they want to display (such as only showing positive
reviews).

The way that a representative of a business can deal with negative reviews are
to respond to the review by clicking on 'Respond' underneath the review to
provide an explanation to other users. If they believe the review is fraudulent,
abusive or unfair, they can also use the 'Report Abuse' button underneath the
review and explain why it should be removed. These submissions will be processed
by a reviews team on our end.

In this instance, it is likely that a representative of this business used the
‘Report Abuse’ feature and their submission was approved by our Rating & Reviews
team. This would mean that future attempts to post a review from that same
username for that listing will be prevented by our system.

We are sorry to hear of your negative experience with this business and hope
this clarifies how our review system works.

Best regards,
